"An updated version of the Clinac iX model has been produced at Fabrika RTT under license from Varian company since 2019. The delivery for the Sakhalin region was one of 13 orders for this model that we received while implementing the federal project "Fighting Against Cancer," said Dmitry Sosnov, deputy general director of RTT Factory LLC.

Varian Clinac iX is one of the most widespread systems of radiotherapy - more than 6 thousand devices of this series are installed all over the world that testifies to the reliability of the device and demand among medical experts. In addition, the entire line of produced equipment complies with the requirements of the state import substitution program. Each year, about 500 patients in Sakhalin Oblast will receive treatment on the Clinac iX linac.

"Along with surgery and chemotherapy, radiotherapy is one of the three main methods of fighting cancer, including its use as an independent treatment method. Thanks to the purchase of a new linac, those patients of the region who were previously sent for treatment to cancer centers in the Far East, Moscow, and St. Petersburg will receive high-quality treatment in their region using such modern and effective radiotherapy techniques as IMRT, IGRT, RapidArc," said Sergey Startsev, chief doctor at the Sakhalin Regional Dispensary.
