Fabrika RTT confirmed the origin of the entire line of Halcyon linacs with CT-1 certificate

Russian enterprise Fabrika RTT (part of R-Pharm Group) has received CT-1 certificate of origin for all Halcyon® radiation system modifications. The expertise was performed by the Moscow region's Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

"Import substitution of heavy medical equipment is an important factor for provision of qualitative and affordable oncologic treatment to the patients and is a competitive advantage for Russian enterprises, - said Andrey Popov, General Director of Fabrika RTT, LLC. - the Halcyon systems produced by Fabrika are exclusively for the Russian market, and it is significant that this linac is one of the most modern in the world. Our partner – Varian company introduced this model in 2017, and already in 2021 we implemented and fully mastered the production of the entire product line, in accordance with strict quality standards. At the same time, obtaining of CT-1 certificate will allow us to significantly reduce the cost of our products compared to imported analogues," Popov added.

Halcyon linear accelerator meets the highest requirements for the technical equipment of radiotherapy departments and is in demand in Russia due to its clinical efficacy, compact size, throughput of over 100 patients per day, and quick installation and commissioning without compromising the quality.

The therapeutic spectrum of the device covers radiation therapy for patients with malignant tumors of the head and neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, central and peripheral nervous system, both for radical treatment and palliative care.

Since the end of 2021, Fabrika RTT has supplied more than 10 Halcyons of its own production within the federal project Fighting Against Cancer framework.

The strategic agreement on localization of Halcyon production, signed between Fabrika RTT, LLC and Varian Medical Systems Inc. in September 2019, envisages production of about 200 units within five years at Fabrika's production complex in SEZ Dubna for supplying within Russia.
