Continue to tell about R-Pharm's production facilities
Partner news
Fabrika RTT within R-Pharm group of companies is the only Russian production of linear accelerators for radiation therapy of oncological diseases.
Since 2019, the resident of the special economic zone in Dubna, near Moscow, has been producing medical equipment under license from the American corporation Varian.
The main trend in the development of modern radiation therapy is to ensure the most precise delivery of the radiation dose to cancer cells without affecting healthy tissue.
In the case of a brain tumor, for example, we are talking about millimeters, and the rest of the patient's life depends on the accuracy of the "aim". The most complex tasks in the treatment of cancer are efficiently handled by Varian llinacs, a recognized leader in the segment of radiotherapy equipment with a 70-year history.
Since 2019, these sophisticated and necessary machines have been manufactured in Dubna, Moscow Region.
It took Varian's representatives quite a long time to choose whom to partner with in Russia: there were quite a few applicants for promising cooperation. The R-Pharm group of companies staked on the creation of an enterprise from scratch, with the training of personnel from the basics - and won.
The most complex international project was implemented in record time: in the summer of 2017, the builders first went to the site, and in December 2018, the production complex was commissioned. Since 2019, the factory maintains its status as the Russian market leader in supplying linacs to state cancer centers.
The production of modern devices is based on the transfer of complex, innovative technologies. Both Varian and Fabrika RTT itself take this issue very seriously.
