A manufacturer from the Moscow Region received a CT-1 certificate for its import-substituting products

A resident of SEZ Dubna of Moscow Region, Fabrika RTT (part of R-Pharm group), has received a certificate of origin CT-1 for the Halcyon® radiation therapy system for all modifications. The certificate will increase the efficiency of the company's production aimed at import-substituting. The expertise was performed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moscow region.

Fabrika RTT company produces demanded state-of the-art medical equipment that meets the highest requirements of radiotherapy departments. Devices produced in Moscow Region are already supplied to Russian medical institutions, providing a course for import-substitution. "The strategic agreement on Halcyon production localization, signed by Fabrika RTT and Varian Medical Systems Inc in September 2019, provides for the production of up to 200 units within 5 years at the plant in SEZ Dubna for supply within Russia", - said the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region Ekaterina Zinovieva.


Halcyon system produced by a resident of SEZ Dubna has a compact size, it is quickly installed and put into operation without compromising the quality. The capacity of the device exceeds 100 patients per day. This ensures high clinical efficiency of the equipment.
  

The therapeutic spectrum of the device covers radiotherapy for patients with malignant neoplasms in the area of head and neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, central and peripheral nervous system both for radical treatment and palliative care.
"Import-substituting of heavy medical equipment is an important factor to ensure quality and affordable cancer care for patients and a competitive advantage for Russian enterprises. Halcyon systems are produced by our company exclusively for the Russian market and it is important that this linac is one of the latest in the world. Our partner Varian introduced this model in 2017, and already in 2021, we implemented and fully mastered the production of the entire product line in accordance with the strict quality standards. Getting the CT-1 certificate will allow us to significantly reduce the cost of our products as compared to imported counterparts," said Andrey Popov, CEO of Fabrika RTT LLC.
